Chuck started photographing weddings the way many people start, by photographing the weddings of friends. Formally educated as an engineer but he has always has been a right brain guy. He photographed his first wedding in 1990. The portrait side of the business developed originally as an add-on sales option for the bridal couple. Chuck's skills are still developing today through the study of textbooks, attendance at seminars and involvement with local and national photography groups.
Chuck uses a combination of medium format, 35mm and digital cameras. He does some posed shots and some candid shots, he works with available light, flash fill and strobe. Because every assignment is different, Chuck believes it is best to be familiar with the different mediums.
Chuck is easy going and flexible, he works with packages as well as a-la-carte.
When Chuck started his photography business, he founded it on some basic principles. Those principles are still the basis of his operation today.
