It all started when by chance I wandered into an antique store and saw some dishes that were glowing a bright green. Being of a somewhat scientific bent it intrigued me to say the least. As I investigated I found that the dishes were green depression glass that has Uranium Dioxide as part of the coloring agent and a blacklight was making them glow.
Well I was hooked.
That was over 10 years ago and since then I have collected over 400 pieces of glass and most of it glows. I found that true Yellow- Green Vaseline glass glows the strongest so that is most of my collection. In the process of looking for Vaseline glass I discovered that I could make money to help pay for it by buying other antiques at auctions and garage sales and selling them.
After much research and study this has evolved from the local flea market to spaces in 3 malls along with Ebay and now to this shopping cart site.
My wife Paula has also gotten the bug and collects Wade pottery and figurines. She is also the accountant, shipping clerk and "Chief Cook and Bottle Washer" of our business. We prefer a one-on-one approach with our customers to be sure they are comfortable and happy with their purchases.
